2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, acting as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR). For every page request, Vercel processes your IP address, the date and time, the requested URL, the referring page, and your browser and operating system, in order to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a functioning and secure website). These logs are deleted automatically after at most 30 days.

Videos and some media files are delivered from Vercel’s storage service on the same basis. Fonts are served from this website’s own domain; no data is sent to Google Fonts or similar services.

3. Analytics (only with your consent)

If you click “Accept”, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure page speed. Neither sets cookies or tracks you across websites. They record the page URL, the referring page, the time, your country, browser, operating system and device type, and performance metrics. Visitors are distinguished only by a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours, and we see aggregate figures only. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time via “Privacy settings” in the footer.

4. Your privacy choice

We set no cookies. Your choice in the banner is stored in your browser’s local storage (entry “vsq-cookie-consent”) so that we do not ask again; it never leaves your device. This is strictly necessary to respect your choice (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can change it via “Privacy settings” in the footer or delete it in your browser.

5. Email

If you email us, we use your name, email address and message to reply. For requests about an investment, a fund or a job, this is a pre-contractual step (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); otherwise it is based on our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete this data once it is no longer needed, unless commercial or tax law requires us to keep it (up to 10 years, § 257 HGB, § 147 AO).

6. Recipients and transfers outside the EU

We share personal data only with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, analytics, email) or where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data. Vercel Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR) and additionally on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in Vercel’s data processing agreement (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

7. Links to other websites

We link to LinkedIn, YouTube, Substack, Google Maps, our job board (Getro), our investor portal (Quantium) and our portfolio companies. Nothing is sent to these services until you click a link; from then on, their privacy policies apply.

8. Your rights

You may request access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Please write to future@vsquared.vc.

Right to object

Where we rely on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

9. Other

Providing personal data is not required, but without the data described in section 2 the website cannot be displayed. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. We will update this policy when the website or the law changes.
